Talking Hockey Sense is back this week with a bunch of thoughts coming out of the NCAA men’s regionals. I’m joined by ESPN analyst Sean Ritchlin, who is in his 18th year talking college hockey on TV. Sean was the color analyst for the Allentown regional, but will be in studio as the intermission analyst for the Men’s Frozen Four on ESPN2.
We went long on the Frozen Four teams with a special focus on Michigan as Sean is both an alumnus, a national champion and since he covered the Allentown regional out of which the Wolverines qualified for the men’s Frozen Four.
Find out which players have impressed Sean this year, why Luke Hughes has been the most entertaining player in college hockey this season, how each of the Frozen Four teams match up against each other, how Sean got into broadcasting and a whole bunch more.
After the conversation, I’ve got some additional thoughts on college hockey news of the week and get into 2022 NHL Draft talk as I recap what I saw at the 2022 CHL Top Prospects Game in Kitchener last week. I also shared a few thoughts on the latest news about the rescheduled World Juniors in August.
