It’s Frozen Four week as the men get set for the final three games of the college hockey season. Michigan, Denver, Minnesota and Minnesota State offer two spectacular matchups and a boatload of storylines as we close out the 2021-22 campaign.
To help me run down all of the facts, figures, news notes and everything in between, I invited regular guest Brad Schlossman of the Grand Forks Herald back on the podcast. Brad always provides great insight on the teams and the storylines as we head into this Frozen Four. Also, if you’d like to read more about the Frozen Four, I’ve got a full team-by-team preview up on DailyFaceoff.com.
We break each team down in depth, looking at strengths, weaknesses, top players, X-factors, key stats and a bunch more. Hopefully this will do about as well as anything can to help get you prepared for the 2022 Men’s Frozen Four. There’s even some Hobey Baker talk in there.
I will be in Boston Thursday for both semifinal games, with Michigan vs. Denver kicking us off at 5 p.m. on ESPN2 and Minnesota vs. Minnesota State in the nightcap at 8:30 p.m. on ESPNU.
Stay tuned for more coverage on Hockey Sense, and if you haven’t yet subscribed, consider signing up to make sure you get your hands on this week’s newsletter which will cover the Frozen Four, the transfer portal, news and analysis regarding the 2022 and 2023 World Juniors, plus some of my notes from recent trips evaluating prospects. Free trials are available if you want to check out the site before signing on for the full year. With the way the 2021-22 season has gone, there’s going to be plenty to talk about and write about through the summer, so make sure to sign on here.
