The NHL season is here, officially, and there’s a lot to talk about. In addition to the season officially getting underway, Tuesday also marked the release of a new book that takes a critical look at hockey. Evan F. Moore, one of the co-authors of that book, entitled Game Misconduct: Hockey’s Toxic Culture and How to Fix It, joined the podcast this week to discuss its contents.

After the interview, I share a few thoughts on the upcoming NHL season including my pick to win the Stanley Cup and a handful of other teams that will be especially interesting to watch in the 2021-22 season.
There’s also a special shout out to Tucker Tynan, the OHL’s goaltender of the week, who overcame a horrific skate-cut injury in the 2019-20 season, sat out all of last year and returned to action with a pair of wins for the Niagara Ice Dogs.
