It's episode 40 of the podcast and I’m here to talk NHL Trade Deadline and much more with another listener Q&A. I also break down some of the deals that have already made that involved prospects, the most recent college free agent signings, and a full rundown of the Hobey Baker Top 10 list that was announced last week. After that, it's all listener questions with a lot of deadline-related topics including value for certain players, which prospects should be considered untouchable, and more. I also answer some other questions.

Here’s just a sample of some of the questions asked that I answered on this week’s podcast:

  • Is Kaapo Kakko untouchable?

  • I heard Bill Guerin of the Wild say it would take something special to trade his 1st for a player. Obviously it varies by organization and team status but straight up, what’s the player comp value to a projected mid-late 1st in your mind? And who is the most like big name to get moved?

  •  With how strong Saros has been playing, what would your opinion be on Askarov becoming a trade asset instead of the long-term play for Nashville?

  • Return for Giordano?

  • What do you think a GM would give up for Bertuzzi?

  • Of the Hobey Baker Finalists, which will have the most immediate impact in the NHL?

  • Do you think a highly rated prospect like Shane Wright or Connor Bedard could refuse to play for Arizona considering their situation in the coming seasons playing at ASU?

Also, as I said on the podcast, I’ll be part of Daily Faceoff’s first ever trade deadline show. We’ll be streaming live on Twitter and YouTube Monday from noon to 3:30 p.m. ET. Here’s some more info:
